    A step 1 lotion is designed to help increase your tan and keep you moisturized while you are building up a base tan. If you are in the beginning process of building up a base tan a step 1 lotion is a great lotion to use. Keeping moisturized while tanning, especially in your initial visits, can increase you tan by up to 40%.

Step 2 lotions are designed for those who already have a good base tan.  Step 2 lotions help prevent a plateau in your tanning results and allow you to maximize your tanning potential once you have built up a good base tan.

    BRONZER LOTIONS  
       
   

Lotions with a bronzer actually have a dye in the lotion.  With bronzers, not only are you going to see the benefits of a step 1 or step 2 lotion, the lotion itself gives you instant color.  Some bronzers also contain DHA, the same component found in self-tanners and airbrush tanning.  These bronzers will give you added color that will develop and last for several days after tanning.  Bronzer lotions can be combined with both step 1 and step 2 lotions.

    TINGLE LOTIONS  
       
   

Tanning lotions with a tingle have a very distinctive effect on your skin.  Tingle lotions actually heat up the surface of your skin by bringing the blood vessels close to the surface of your skin.  This action helps to increase your tan over the 24-hour period following a tanning session.  During the tanning process you will notice your skin will be warm to the touch and appear red or blotchy.  This effect is normal and will subside several hours after your tanning session.  Tingle lotions can be combined with step 1, step 2 and bronzer lotions.
